Through the efforts of attentive fans, it’s been revealed that rookie group Tahiti has been using one of JYJ’s songs without permission.
On May 14, Tahiti took the stage at the college music festival, where the group performed its song Hasta Luego. However, the problem started before the girls even started dancing.
The 35 second intro that played as the group made its entrance was clearly JYJ’s Mission and even included Park Yoo Chun’s voice in the track.
During the interview with the MC, Tahiti stated that the intro was something that the group only uses during overseas performances and it especially used the song for the college festival.
However, as fans realized the song was being used without permission, they immediately contacted both Tahiti and JYJ’s agencies to inform them of the grave error.
Tahiti’s agency, Dream Star Entertainment emailed an apology letter to a concerned fan who contacted the company.
The email read:
“Hello, this is Dream Star Entertainment.
We want to say a word of apology to the fans.
In the last performance overseas, we used the intro with the suggestion of a concert staff.
Then due to the carelessness of a manger, we realized that we reused the intro in a performance.
The manager is currently under disciplinary action and the music file in question has been discarded.
We want to apologize once more for causing worries and we hope that JYJ will continue to succeed tremendously.
We will work hard to become a better Dream Star Entertainment.
Thank you.”
