[NEWS] 131118 JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong puts on a show for 60,000 fans in Yokohama

JYJ’s Kim JaeJoong held his Asia Tour concert this past weekend (November 15th, 16th) in Yokohama, Japan, where a total of 60,000 fans turned up to show their support.

A C-JES Entertainment official said yesterday, “Kim Jae Joong held his concerts at Yokohama Arena on 15th and 16th November, and drew a total of 60,000 fans in attendance. Over 1,000 staff helped to prepare for the concert, and the stage was a mega-sized one which was 100m long and 15m tall. Jae Joong did perfect live performances at the concerts with his 6-member band, and 14-member orchestra, and left the fans screaming his name all night long.

At the concert, Kim Jae Joong began with his rock song ‘9+1#’, and proceeded to perform songs like ‘Butterfly’, ‘Rotten Love’, and others. He also sang a few ballad songs to go along with his rock songs as well at the concert.

During his performance for ‘Luvholic’, Kim Jae Joong whirled around the arena in a car, and shook hands with his fans while greeting them in Japanese. He also sang Japanese songs like ‘Last Rain’ and others, and left his fans indulging in his beautiful vocals. Jae Joong then went backstage after completing all his performances, but all 30,000 fans immediately got up and screamed in unison for an encore from him.

Jae Joong said, “This is my first time standing on a stage in Japan after releasing my first studio album. I want to thank everyone for coming here to support me. I am a happy man to be standing here on stage to sing for everyone. I also want to thank everyone for spending a wonderful time here with me despite the cold weather. I don’t know how these past 2 days went by so fast, but I will work even harder to repay everyone with even better performances.”

The concert organizer said, “It’s a very difficult process to apply for the right to use Yokohama Arena, so it’s very meaningful for a Korean soloist to do that. This is also proof that Kim Jae Joong has incredible popularity in Japan, and it’s an incredible feat for a soloist to sell out all his concert tickets. It’s really remarkable to industry experts that his back-to-back concerts were all sold out despite the chilly weather in Japan recently.

After Yokohama, Jae Joong will continue with his Asia Tour with his next concert performance scheduled for November 23rd in Taipei, Taiwan.
